From Greenhouse to Loading Dock: The Mad Botter INC Connects the Systems That Keep Produce and Products Moving
Tampa, FL, USA - October 5, 2026 - The Mad Botter INC today highlighted the results of its work integrating packing, warehouse, inventory, shipping, and traceability systems for a large commercial greenhouse produce operation, demonstrating how practical engineering can transform disconnected technology into a unified workflow without requiring businesses to abandon their existing investments.
The project, which The Mad Botter INC built and continues to operate, addressed a challenge common across the produce industry: valuable data trapped in isolated systems. Packing equipment generated output records that warehouse staff could not easily access. Inventory counts required manual reconciliation between multiple platforms. Shipping documentation demanded repeated data entry. And traceability, an increasingly important requirement for food safety and compliance, depended on painstaking manual processes that consumed hours of labor every week.
Rather than proposing that the operation purchase an entirely new technology stack, The Mad Botter INC took its characteristic approach of working with what was already in place. The company's engineers examined each piece of existing equipment and software, identified the data each system produced and consumed, and built integration layers that allowed information to flow automatically between them.
The result was a cohesive operational platform assembled from components the business already owned, supplemented by custom software developed specifically for the gaps between them. Packing data now feeds directly into warehouse management. Inventory updates in near real time as product moves through the facility. Shipping documentation populates automatically from upstream records. And traceability information follows each case of produce from the greenhouse through packing and into the truck, creating an auditable chain without manual intervention at every step.
For operations leaders in similar businesses, this kind of project represents an increasingly urgent need. Commercial growers, produce packers, food processors, and manufacturers of all sizes face mounting pressure to demonstrate traceability, reduce errors, and operate more efficiently. Yet many of these businesses run on tight margins and cannot justify the expense and disruption of replacing functional equipment simply because it was not designed to communicate with other systems.
This is where The Mad Botter INC's background in military contracting proves particularly relevant. Projects in that domain demand disciplined engineering, clear milestones, and defined outcomes. Michael Dominick, the company's founder, brought that rigor into the commercial sector when he established the firm. Every project begins with a concrete problem statement and ends at a predetermined finish line, a structure that gives operations leaders confidence they are investing in a solution rather than an open-ended engagement.
Dominick himself brings an uncommon combination of skills to the work. An English major by training who became a deeply technical software engineer, he hosts the long-running Coder Radio program and serves as Vice Chair of IEEE's Florida West Coast Robotics and Automation Society chapter. His communication skills allow him to translate between the language of the factory floor and the language of software architecture, ensuring that solutions make sense to the people who use them daily.
The company applies artificial intelligence judiciously, deploying it only when it solves a specific, well-defined problem within a larger system. This selective approach avoids the common pitfall of adopting technology for its own sake and keeps the focus on measurable operational improvements.
As demand grows for connected, traceable, and efficient operations across agriculture and manufacturing, The Mad Botter INC continues to demonstrate that modernization does not have to mean starting from zero.
About Us
The Mad Botter INC is an engineering and integration company that connects existing machines, software, and data for agricultural and manufacturing businesses. Led by technologist, Coder Radio host, and IEEE chapter leader Michael Dominick, the company draws on military contracting discipline to solve operational problems one project at a time.
